Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital support role working directly with high school students as a contracted School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. Experience rewarding, purpose-driven work and make a lasting difference in students' educational journeys. This position features a traditional school schedule: weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., giving you the perfect balance of professional engagement and personal time.
Key Qualifications:
Current, active School Psychologist licensure issued by the state of Illinois Direct onsite availability for the full contract period (August 10, 2026 - May 14, 2027) Experience with high school student populations strongly preferred Ability to accommodate a caseload of approximately 30 students Strong assessment, consultation, and collaborative skills Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment
What You'll Do:
Provide comprehensive psychological services to high school students, including evaluations, counseling, and intervention planning Collaborate with faculty, families, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective support strategies Maintain accurate records and timely communication concerning student progress and needs Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and participate in meetings with staff and families Support teachers and staff in managing behavioral and learning concerns Engage actively with the school community to enhance student well-being Enjoy the opportunity to focus your expertise on a manageable caseload, truly impacting the lives of roughly 30 students in a supportive and structured environment.
