Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful opportunity working directly with high school students in an educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll collaborate onsite with school staff, students, and families, supporting a caseload of approximately 30 high schoolers. The position begins August 10, 2026, and concludes May 14, 2027, with a consistent schedule from 7:30AM to 3:00PM. In this contract-based role, you'll conduct assessments, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and help develop individualized plans that foster student growth. Your efforts will help create a supportive and positive academic environment where every student can thrive.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid and active Illinois School Psychologist license (required) Prior experience working with high school-aged students strongly preferred Ability to perform comprehensive psychological and educational assessments Comfortable working onsite throughout the assignment Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for growth Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to develop and monitor IEPs and behavioral intervention plans Consult with faculty and staff on strategies to support student well-being and academic progress Provide crisis intervention and support as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team planning You'll serve as an integral resource, making a noticeable difference in students' educational journeys.
