Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding Contract opportunity supporting K-4 students by providing essential school psychology services. This position offers flexibility, welcoming both onsite and virtual professionals for the 2026-2027 school year. With a weekly commitment of 21 hours, you'll play a vital role in the academic and emotional development of young learners from preschool through fourth grade. There's also the potential to concentrate on grades 1-4 as caseload needs evolve. Your responsibility will include conducting special education evaluations, delivering comprehensive psychological services, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff. Your expertise ensures students receive appropriate interventions, and your organized approach will help maintain compliance with all special education requirements and timelines.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's Degree (or equivalent) in School Psychology Approved by the Michigan Department of Education as a School Psychologist Experience working in educational settings preferred Strong communication, report writing, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable technology and secure workspace for virtual candidates
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct special education assessments and psychological evaluations for early childhood through elementary-aged students Participate in eligibility meetings, review data, and develop recommendations to guide individualized education plans Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal mandates Offer consultation and intervention strategies to school staff Be a trusted advocate for students and contribute your expertise to a supportive educational environment.
