Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting students and staff in a vibrant educational community near Montpelier, VT. Set for the 2026-2027 school year, this in-person position provides a meaningful chance to champion students' academic, social, and emotional growth in a supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and current School Psychologist credentials meeting all state requirements Experience or strong interest in K-12 academic settings Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams, students, and families Exceptional assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based interventions Commitment to working in person throughout the assignment
Role Highlights:
Work a consistent 37.5-hour weekly schedule during the academic year (8/28/2026 - 6/18/2027) Engage in student evaluation, eligibility assessments, and development of intervention strategies Consult and collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to foster positive learning environments Deliver counseling and intervention services to support student well-being Advocate for students through meaningful participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams Caseload to be determined through dialogue during the interview process, allowing for the best fit based on your expertise and interests In this position, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference, forming positive relationships with students and teams while supporting their success.
