Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting students' success and well-being as a school psychologist working on a contract basis for the upcoming academic year. This opportunity spans various campuses, offering the chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of PreK-12 students through dedicated, onsite service.
Key Qualifications:
Active NCDPI School Psychologist License (attach documentation with application) Demonstrated experience using ECATS Previous school-based experience preferred (all grade levels considered) Strong foundation in psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, and crisis response Collaborative mindset for working with multi-disciplinary district-level teams
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students suspected of disabilities Provide individual and small group counseling, as well as immediate crisis intervention when needed Consult with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective student support strategies Facilitate and participate in conferences with parents, fostering open communication about student progress and support plans Deliver training and resources to staff to enhance awareness of mental health and intervention strategies Collaborate closely within school teams to address diverse student needs across PreK-12 settings Support district initiatives and engage in other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Additional Information:
Full-time position (37.5 hours per week), school year contract from August 4, 2026, to May 28, 2027 Onsite presence required across multiple district campuses; mileage is not reimbursed Interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic school setting, impacting students and families through comprehensive psychological services.
