QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess or be eligible for certification as a Level II School Psychologist by the SC State Department of Education

JOB GOAL

To improve the educational outcome for students through a program of psycho-educational evaluation and/or appropriate intervention.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

I. Perfoms psycho-educational evaluations utilizing appropriate diagnostic techniques and assessment tools for pre-school and school age students. 2. Provides a written report of test findings that includes diagnostic data and recommendations for placement/interventions. 3. Attends parent conferences/placement meetings and provides interpretation of psycho educational data. 4. Prepares reports regarding special education programs. 5. Reviews records received by the Office of Special Services to determine appropriate placements. 6. Provides crisis management/classroom interventions as necessary. 7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Contract:

190 days; Salary to be established by Board of Trustees.

EVALUATION

A written performance evaluation will be conducted annually.
