Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a talented professional passionate about supporting students' academic and emotional growth. This role centers on delivering essential psychological services and conducting special education evaluations for students ranging from preschool to 12th grade. The assignment offers flexibility—with both onsite and virtual options—to help you balance your career and personal commitments.
Key Qualifications:
Master's Degree or equivalent in School Psychology required Approved as a School Psychologist by the Michigan Department of Education Experience conducting educational and psychological evaluations in school settings Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to adapt to changing caseload needs and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive special education evaluations for diverse student populations Provide direct psychological services to support student well-being and academic performance Effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that benefit students Ensure compliance with all state and federal requirements related to special education assessments and timelines Document services and maintain accurate records Participate in IEP meetings and offer recommendations based on evaluation findings Adjust role as needed to best serve the needs of the district This assignment is for the 2026-2027 school year, with hours totaling 37.5 per week.
