Month School Calendar Salary Range:
$80K
  • $95K /yr based upon experience and credentials Join our team as a School Psychologist and support school‑age and/or preschool children with intellectual and other disabilities (I/DD) through psychological evaluations, counseling, behavioral supports, and collaboration with families and school districts.
At Brookville Center for Children's Services , we provide comprehensive services for children 3-21 years of age with intellectual and other disabilities, traumatic brain injury, and autism. Our mission is to educate and support children of all abilities. School Psychologists conduct psychological evaluations in accordance with triennial schedules and district requests, provide individual counseling as mandated by IEPs, and support the behavioral and academic needs of assigned students. This role includes developing and monitoring Positive Behavior Supports, behavior intervention plans, and functional behavior assessments, providing staff training, participating in CPSE, CSE, IDT, and program review meetings, and responding to crisis situations when needed. School Psychologists collaborate closely with families, school districts, residential programs, and home-based providers while maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations, documentation requirements, and professional standards.

We Require:
MA or MS in School Psychology NYSED certification in School Psychology BCBA, LBA or enrollment in an accredited ABA program leading to certification preferred Must be proficient in the administration of standardized tests to students with disabilities.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Mobility:
Ability to move about the school campus and community settings, including classrooms, offices, and vocational sites., including standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
Physical:
May occasionally be required to lift and carry instructional materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs), ability to assist students with mobility needs if required.
Manual Dexterity:
Frequent use of hands and fingers for writing, typing, and handling educational devices, instructional materials, assistive technology and computers.
Visual and auditory ability:
Must possess sufficient vision and hearing to monitor student activities, observe student performance and respond to needs including safety in a timely manner.
