Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role providing vital psychological services to students in a vibrant educational setting near Clam Gulch, AK. Two contract positions are open for skilled School Psychologists ready to make a positive impact, starting August 19, 2026, and continuing through May 20, 2027. This is a full-time opportunity that welcomes both local professionals and travelers seeking new experiences and professional growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Alaska School Psychologist Certification required Prior experience working as a School Psychologist in educational environments highly preferred Strong assessment, intervention, and counseling skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for assessment Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social-emotional well-being Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to development of measurable student goals Support crisis intervention efforts and deliver recommendations for student success You'll be part of a supportive setting where your expertise informs and uplifts the school community.
