Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a valued role supporting student wellbeing across PreK-12 as a School Psychologist in a dynamic, collaborative school district near Denton, NC. This full-time, contract opportunity spans from August 2026 through May 2027, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact at various campuses. You'll play an integral part in fostering positive learning environments and addressing the diverse needs of students within an onsite setting. Qualifications and Experience Active North Carolina DPI School Psychologist license (required and must be attached when applying) Hands-on experience using ECATS for tracking and supporting Exceptional Children needs Demonstrated background in psychoeducational assessment and counseling, preferably across multiple grade levels Strong consultation skills working directly with teachers, staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams Prior school-based experience, with a preference for candidates knowledgeable about local policies and systems Key Responsibilities Provide consultation, counseling, and crisis response services in a school environment Address student mental health needs and collaborate on interventions Conduct psychoeducational evaluations when disabilities are suspected Hold conferences with parents to discuss student progress and needs Offer staff training and participate actively on district-level teams Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families as part of a holistic, school-based support system Manage a PreK-12 caseload in an onsite-only capacity What You'll Gain The opportunity to work closely with diverse student populations and dedicated educational teams Experience within a forward-thinking, supportive district focused on student and staff development Professional growth through varied training and district-level collaboration Ready to contribute your expertise and make a measurable difference for students and educators?
