Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist supporting a high school therapeutic program. This position is ideal for professionals skilled in psychological assessment, counseling, and collaboration within educational environments. Work with dedicated staff and students during the Extended School Year (ESY) session, tentatively scheduled from June 1st through June 30th.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification or license as a School Psychologist Experience working in school settings, particularly high school or therapeutic programs Strong foundation in psychological testing, IEP development, and behavioral intervention Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques for adolescents Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with educators, parents, and students Ability to develop and present reports in clear, actionable language
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct psychological services to students, including counseling and crisis intervention during ESY Conduct thorough assessments to support eligibility determinations and educational planning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the creation and implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) Offer consultation and recommendations to school staff on student learning, behavior, and emotional challenges Participate in team meetings and contribute to the therapeutic, supportive atmosphere of the program Maintain accurate and compliant records of all services and communications Engage with a meaningful role where your expertise directly supports high school students in a therapeutic setting during the summer session. Contribute positively to a collaborative educational community and help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
