Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact each day by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a rewarding contract role. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state certification in Special Education Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Classroom experience working with students with IEPs, 504s, or specialized instruction needs Understanding of current best practices in differentiated instruction and behavioral management Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families Strong organizational and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized lesson plans based on each student's learning profile Modify curriculum and teaching techniques to support diverse learners Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction to maximize their growth Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff Develop, update, and maintain accurate IEPs and required documentation Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing training Foster an encouraging and inclusive classroom culture
