A school district in Mooseheart, IL is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support the academic and emotional development of students. This contract position offers an opportunity to work closely with educators, parents, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group psychological assessments to identify learning needs and challenges. Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement intervention plans. Provide counseling services and crisis intervention for students as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP planning. Maintain detailed records and generate reports on student progress and assessments. Assist in creating safe and supportive school environments through consultation and training.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field. Experience with psychological evaluations, behavior assessments, and counseling in educational settings. Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school personnel. Valid School Psychologist certification or license for the state of Illinois preferred.
