Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a real impact supporting students from preschool through senior year by providing expert psychological services in an educational setting. This contract opportunity welcomes both onsite and virtual school psychologists for the 2026-2027 school year, offering flexibility while working with a dynamic team of educators and specialists.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree or higher in School Psychology (or equivalent) Valid approval as a School Psychologist from the Michigan Department of Education Experience assessing and providing services to students with diverse needs across all grade levels is highly valued Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Familiarity with special education processes, timelines, and legal requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students ranging from preschool to grade 12 Deliver direct and consultative psychological services following individual education plans and student needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to design and implement intervention strategies Engage in meetings with families and team members to review assessments and recommend services Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education laws and maintain thorough, accurate documentation for each case Adjust responsibilities as needed to accommodate evolving caseloads and district priorities Benefit from a role designed to fit your work style, whether you prefer to engage with students face-to-face onsite or serve virtually.
