What we're seeking in an ideal candidate: Valid licensure and certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois Demonstrated experience working in K-12 settings Strong skills in conducting assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators and families Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural competence Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities Adaptability and flexibility to navigate evolving school needs and priorities Familiarity with current best practices in psychological services within educational settings Key responsibilities include: Administering psychological and academic evaluations Providing counseling services to students individually and in group settings Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop intervention and support plans Participating in IEP meetings and contributing expertise for student eligibility and goal-setting Assisting schools in program development and crisis intervention Promoting a safe and positive learning environment for all students Maintaining thorough and accurate records aligned with legal and ethical standards This contract position offers flexibility and the unique opportunity to play a critical role in the school's student support team.
