As a school nurse, your reliable presence Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 2:30pm, ensures students receive the care and attention they need to thrive throughout the school day.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of Maine Experience working as a school nurse or with pediatric populations strongly preferred Current CPR and First Aid certification Strong assessment, triage, and health education skills Ability to maintain accurate student records and uphold privacy regulations (FERPA, HIPAA) Compassionate communicator able to collaborate with students, families, educators, and staff Organized, detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly in emergent situations

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care for illness, injuries, and chronic conditions during school hours Administer medications and treatments in accordance with healthcare plans Monitor and manage students with allergies, asthma, diabetes, and other medical needs Maintain comprehensive health records and documentation Partner with faculty and administration to create a safe, healthy learning environment Offer health education and resource guidance to students and families Collaborate with outside healthcare providers as needed for continuity of care This opportunity provides consistent weekday hours that fit well with family schedules and extracurricular commitments, while allowing you to make a real difference in students' daily experience.
