Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference for students by providing expert speech-language services in a dynamic school setting. This full-time contract position supports K-4th grade students, offering the chance to see students progress and reach their communication goals. The role covers the school semester from August 17, 2026, through November 20, 2026, providing a continuous and impactful experience for both the professional and students.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Current, active Speech-Language Pathology license in Michigan Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Demonstrable experience with school-based services for elementary-aged children preferred Comfortable managing a K-4th grade caseload independently Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities No Clinical Fellows; only fully licensed SLPs are eligible
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and develop treatment plans, individually tailored for each student's communication needs Provide direct therapy services to identified students, both individually and in small groups Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and special education teams to maximize student success Document progress, maintain detailed records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed Use evidence-based practices and stay current with best practices in school speech therapy
