Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students' communication growth in a school-based setting. We're seeking nine full-time Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to work collaboratively with a diverse student population for the 2026-2027 school year. You'll have the opportunity to work with various age groups, accommodating your experience and area of interest. In this contract position, you'll benefit from the consistency of a full-time, 37.5-hour work week, following traditional school-year hours. Your assignment will begin at the start of the academic year and extend through to the end, allowing you to provide ongoing support to students and contribute to a positive learning atmosphere.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid SLP license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued Strong collaboration skills with educators, staff, and families Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat diverse speech and language disorders Flexibility to work with a range of age groups and caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and group therapy aligned with students' IEPs Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate treatment plans Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in IEP meetings Maintain thorough documentation according to school and state standards Foster an encouraging learning environment that supports student progress This is a fantastic chance to gain experience in a supportive educational environment and truly make a difference.
