Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact guiding students toward communication success in a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity places you in an inclusive educational setting where your expertise will make a difference every day. Qualifications/Desired Experience:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP license or eligibility in California
  • Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and equitable practices
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' speech and language abilities through formal and informal evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address a variety of communication needs
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to educational team goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to support generalization of skills in multiple settings
  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students individually and in small groups
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation and progress reports
  • Provide education and support to families and educators on communication strategies
