Research line of the contract:
decision-making and policy-making in the European Union Financing source: ICREA 00426-2025 and
BACES ER00525.
The post-doctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Javier Arregui. The starting date will be agreed with the hiring Researcher, but it is expected to be around September, 2026.
Functions:
The functions inherent to this position include the development and analysis of databases, as well as the writing of research articles for high-impact journals and publications. Likewise, the selected person will collaborate in the organization of events linked to the area of specialization of the position and, where appropriate, will provide technical and logistical support in the publication process. All of this, framed within the lines of research on the decision-making process in the EU, the functioning of its institutional actors and the results of its political process. GENERAL Be in possession of a doctorate. Not having been separated by disciplinary proceedings from the service of any public administration, nor being disqualified by a final judgment for the performance of public functions. In the case of being a national of another State, not being disqualified or in an equivalent situation nor having been subjected to a disciplinary or equivalent sanction that prevents, in their State, under the same terms, access to public jobs.
Additional qualifications:
T he requirements requested in addition to being in possession of a doctoral degree are to have a record of important publications in top-level impact journals, to have proven expertise in the policy-making and decision-making processes in the EU, to have had experience in the development of the DEU dataset. These participation requirements must be met on the last day of the deadline for submitting applications, they must be reliably accredited at any time during the selection process and they must continue to be met on the date of signing the contract. The merits claimed will always be taken into account in relation to the last day for submitting applications.
Salary/duration/benefits/facilities:
Type of contract: Indefinite, in accordance with the terms of article 23 bis of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation. The candidate will work full-time (35 h/week) starting as soon as agreed.
Salary:
32.456,04 € gross/year approx. (full-time contract)
Group:
Post-doctoral Researcher type 2. The job contract includes all the benefits of the Spanish public health and social security system, as well as additional financial support for the participation in project-relevant conferences if applicable.
