Job Description
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Previous laboratory experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and File Explorer
- Ability to learn and develop comfort with various instrumentation software
- Careful adherence to established procedures and proposed experimental designs
- Detail-oriented approach and manual dexterity when working with instruments and samples

- The Biophysical Associate Scientist collects and prepares hair samples and performs technical procedures to evaluate product performance using a variety of laboratory equipment
- This role analyzes data, performs statistical calculations, and draws conclusions to substantiate product claims
- The position documents work and prepares product evaluation reports in accordance with company policies and standards
- The Biophysical Associate Scientist supports laboratory organization, equipment setup and breakdown, method development, exploratory claims substantiation, and analysis of consumer insights and survey data
- The role also maintains and stores internal documentation within the company databaseJob Duties
- Collect samples and prepare hair swatches to perform methods in accordance with established procedures
- Perform technical procedures to measure product performance on hair using a variety of laboratory equipment
- Analyze data, perform statistical calculations, and draw conclusions to substantiate claims
- Document work and write reports on product evaluations in conformance with company policies and standards
- Keep laboratory consumables organized and stocked
- Assemble and dismantle instruments as necessary
- Aid in the research and development of new methods and exploratory claims substantiation
- Analyze consumer insights and survey data to draw conclusions regarding new claims language and trends
- Maintain and store internal documentation in the company database
