Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development for supporting media development projects Educational background in Molecular/cell biology or any related field Experience with mammalian cell culture, media preparation, and data analysis is preferred Proficient in using statistical software such as Design of Expert, Excel, Graphpad Prism, etc. Communicate research and development findings in cross-disciplinary team meetings as well as with external partners. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent creativity, technical decision-making, and trouble shooting skills. Handling of various cell lines in both adherent and suspension cultures Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors Exercises judgment within general defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Perform various chemical/biological assays such as cell counting, staining, and imaging Perform data analysis and experimental design. Prepare formal reports and presentations for group meetings Actively participate in group/project meetings Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publicationsGood Documentation Practices & Good Laboratory Practices Required Skills/Education:
Ph.D. with more than 5 years of relevant experience in Life Science, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or related science. Minimum five years of relevant experience, with emphasis in cell culture. Cell culture experience. In depth knowledge in CHO bioprocess workflows: Batch, Fed batch, Antibody production Good Understanding of cell culture, media optimization and development Broad scientific knowledge of Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Microbiology. Experience with conducting and creating new essays as needed. Design of experiments (DOE) and other statistical tools. Ability to use professional concepts, company's policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of assigned work and solve complex problems Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others Advanced knowledge of Cell Culture, Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Advanced knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.) Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures. General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software. General knowledge of project management. General knowledge of GMP and GLP procedures. Ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Secondary language proficiency in Mandarin Good oral and written communication skillsSalary and Benefits:
For California, the base salary range for this position is $103,093- $134,204. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
