The successful candidate will work with a team dedicated to the cellular aspects of antibody discovery. Responsibilities include isolation and immortalization of B-cells; cloning by FACS-sorting; cryopreservation and cell banking; and antibody production using bioreactors. Antibody Solutions is a leading Contract Research Organization (CRO) in antibody-related services. Established in 1995, we specialize in therapeutic antibody discovery and have helped our clients discover novel antibodies for the treatment of many diseases. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in antibody drug discovery. Responsibilities Execute cell biology procedures with a high degree of care, skill, and foresight. Document the work performed in work instructions and reports in an accurate and timely manner. Work independently and prioritize daily tasks for multiple ongoing projects. Communicate proactively with other members of the laboratory and with project managers. Be a supportive team member in a dynamic R D environment. Assist with calibration, monitoring, and maintenance of equipment. Qualifications and Skills A Bachelor's degree in a biology-related field such as Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc. (Required). US work authorization (Required). Requires demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience in basic cell biology laboratory techniques (e.g., aseptic technique, media preparation, eukaryotic cell culture, centrifugation, microscopy, pipetting, etc.). Experience in advanced B-cell techniques including B-cell staining, FACS, cell imaging, and hybridoma fusion & cloning is desired. Performs department procedures, fulfilling job functions (as described in Role), with a high level of proficiency. Manages time and workload effectively to meet department and company needs. Self-motivated and flexible with a strong work ethic. Good oral and written communication. Actively collaborates with colleagues to complete tasks and meet goals. Ability to multitask with a strong attention to detail. Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new software applications. Requires a minimum of 2 years experience in cell biology techniques and understanding of scientific concepts.

Requirements:

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time at a laboratory bench or biosafety cabinet. May require occasional lifting of items approx. 25-30 lbs. Must be willing to isolate and manipulate rodent tissues. Work must be performed at our worksite in Santa Clara, CA 95054. You must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work. This position does not qualify for reimbursement of relocation expenses. About the

Job:

This is a full-time position, typically 40 hrs/week, M-F, within the hours of 8am-6pm with occasional weekday overtime or weekend work. You will report to the department supervisor.

Compensation:

Antibody Solutions offers a competitive salary with overtime. Personnel are evaluated after 3 months of employment and on a yearly basis.
