Responsibilities Design and execute scientific research projects focused on insect taxonomy, behavior, physiology, and ecology. Collect insect specimens from various environments using humane handling and restraint techniques. Conduct laboratory experiments involving microbiology, animal anatomy knowledge, and medication administration where applicable. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis of insect populations and habitats. Maintain detailed records of research data, specimen collections, and laboratory procedures to ensure accuracy and reproducibility. Collaborate with environmental law experts to assess the impact of policies on insect populations and habitats. Support conservation efforts by monitoring biodiversity through field surveys and data analysis. Requirements Bachelor's or higher degree in Entomology, Biology, Zoology, or related fields with a strong emphasis on animal physiology and taxonomy. Laboratory experience in microbiology, horticulture, or veterinary settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of animal handling techniques, restraint methods, and animal anatomy is essential. Familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS or similar platforms for spatial data analysis. Experience in scientific research methodology with a focus on environmental law or conservation practices preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to document complex procedures accurately.
