Instructional Support Associate (SL-2)

Salary:

$51,261 The Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University (http://www.binghamton.edu/biology/) is seeking candidates for a full-time position as Instructional Support Associate for the anatomy and physiology laboratory courses, beginning Fall 2026. Duties include but are not limited to: Teaching in-person anatomy and physiology laboratory sections (including evening labs). Weekly grading, ordering supplies, and preparing materials for laboratory courses in anatomy and physiology. Participating in weekly meetings to support scheduling and coordination of instructional support activities in the laboratory spaces on campus. Assisting with the handling, dissection, and disposal of preserved mammalian specimens (including cats) . Coordinating, communicating, and collaborating with faculty and staff.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in biology or a related field Organizational and written/verbal communication skills Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.

Preference:

Master's degree (or higher) in biology or a related field Training or experience in anatomy and physiology Laboratory experience Work experience at the college level Experience in assisting in teaching anatomy and physiology courses Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
