Job Title:
Stability TechnicianJob Description The Stability Technician will play a crucial role in managing stability samples for the chemistry group. This includes receiving, labeling, storing, and archiving samples, conducting inventory audits, and purging samples after the appropriate duration. Special projects will also be assigned as needed. Responsibilities
+ Receive, label, store, and archive stability samples for the chemistry group.
+ Conduct regular inventory audits of stability samples.
+ Purge samples after they have been stored for the appropriate amount of time.
+ Participate in special projects as assigned. Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in handling retains and samples.
+ Experience in chemistry, laboratory, microbiology, biology, and environmental sciences.
+ Computer literacy and experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Life Science is a must.
+ Experience in sample handling is a plus.
+ Background in chemistry is advantageous. Work Environment The work environment is primarily in stability areas, with office spaces located within the labs for reporting, logging, and computer work. These are restricted areas with access only to designated personnel. The position follows a first shift schedule, typically starting between 6am and 7am, with an 8-hour shift, including a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks. The technician will be on-site for 8.5 hours each day, with minimal expected overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kalamazoo, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
