Analytical Technician Location:
Freeport, TX (onsite) Job Description The Analytical Technician supports manufacturing operations by performing laboratory analyses that provide critical data for production and quality processes. This role is responsible for collecting and preparing samples, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, evaluating analytical results, and ensuring accurate documentation while following all safety and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory analyses and sample testing. Collect and prepare samples according to established sampling plans. Prepare calibration standards and perform basic instrument calibration and preventive maintenance. Monitor analytical equipment, perform first-level troubleshooting, and escalate issues as needed. Evaluate data accuracy, apply basic statistical methods, and interpret analytical results. Document, communicate, and maintain laboratory results and calibration records. Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS) procedures. Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes and tools. Support team members and escalate non-routine requests when appropriate. Qualifications Candidates should meet one of the following qualifications: Associate's degree in chemistry, Biology, or another science-related field (preferred). High school diploma or equivalent with 0-3 years of laboratory, manufacturing, or related experience. Recent graduate with relevant scientific education and a strong interest in laboratory operations. Preferred Skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and analytical instrumentation. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and solve routine technical problems. Effective communication and documentation skills. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing laboratory environment and collaborate within a team.
