Job Description
Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills Previous lab experience Working knowledge and experience of lab equipment, tests, procedures and methods Must possess at least 2 years of industrial experience Basic knowledge of math and chemistry Familiar with metric system Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to the position's requirements and responsibilities Solid problem solving skills, ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and determine root cause failure of operational problems Good communication skills both verbal and written Possess good computer skills; with a working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel software is essential Ability to multitask simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards Ability to work with and take direction from supervisor Self-motivated and have ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment Capable of reading and following instructions to produce a quality product and work safely Must have a good work record, a proven job and safety performance history Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Provide analytical support to production areas utilizing various lab instruments and techniques Interpret results based on supplied specification to determine action Communicate results of tests to production areas on a timely and efficient manner Assist in maintaining lab equipment Approve product and raw materials based on documented specifications Maintain and create accurate records based on all laboratory generated data Qualify and operate equipment safely Perform routine maintenance housekeeping and service equipment in area Preferred Requirements Associates degree in related field or equivalent work experience Physical Requirements Ability to satisfy all the physical requirements and working conditions for this position with or without reasonable accommodations for this position. Ability to stand/walk on hard surfaces (concrete, steel, wood) Ability to reach with hands and arms elevated above shoulder level or elbows held away from body. Occasional neck, flexion, extension or rotation Ability to bend, squat, and kneel Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Willing and able to wear and use the prescribed personal protective equipment including face shield.
