Education Requirements None required Experience Working knowledge and/or training related to disconnects, and gas piping. Demonstrated ability in use, function, and maintenance of tools applicable to position. Experience with the application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Working knowledge of locating gas lines. Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations. Working knowledge of leakage survey procedures. Working knowledge and training relative to: Customer service and safety procedures Customer service emergency procedures Use of electronic communications and PragmaCAD system (where applicable) Characteristics of natural gas Basic customer service activities Experience and knowledge of basic computer usage and applicable computer software. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, pipe sizing tables, flow charts, house numbers, dials, gauges, work logs, service orders, and applicable operation and repair manuals. Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English. Licenses and Certifications Applicable driver's license. Additional Requirements Lift and/or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 10 15 times a day; up to 20 pounds 15 20 times a day; up to 40 pounds 10 15 times a day; over 50 pounds 2 3 times a week. law. Turn gas service off, remove meters, and install electronic reader transmitters (ERTs). Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair leakage survey tools and equipment as applicable. Patrol and maintain pipeline markers. Complete encroachment investigations as applicable. Investigate non-contact customer related orders. Complete and/or update reports including but not limited to: Equipment maintenance reports Mileage reports Time sheets GIS Applications Gas Leaks and work logs Maintain various records including but not limited to: Orders completed Miles driven Customer information Leak record information and maintenance work orders Meter inventory Leak classifications Install, program and troubleshoot electronic reader transmitters (ERTs). Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair leakage survey tools and equipment. Perform and/or assist with leakage surveys on pipelines as applicable. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
