The position provides training in sample preparation, bench chemistry techniques and experience with analytical equipment such as FTIR, ICP-MS and ICP-OES. We need a highly-detailed and energetic individual with good communication skills and a desire to learn. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment, yet be independent as well. This is a fast paced position that requires learning technical skill and speed. A degree is required, with a chemistry (or equivalent
  • Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, etc) major or minor. Job Responsibilities
  • Performing the appropriate planning to ensure testing is completed in a timely manner
  • Preparing samples
  • Performing repetitive laboratory tests in order to produce reliable data following approved methods
  • Running samples on FTIR, ICP-MS and ICP-OES
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments
  • Assisting Management with annual operating qualifications of instruments
  • Ensuring the laboratory is adequately stocked with consumables
  • Using computers and performing mathematical calculations
