Job Description
Candidates must have practical ICP-MS experience for consideration. Pay will be based on experience. pH Solutions, LLC is searching for an ICP-MS chemist to join their cannabis laboratory. We are hiring ASAP! The company is centrally located in beautiful Old Town Monrovia

- As an Analytical Chemist (ICP-MS) , your primary responsibilities will include:
- Performing heavy metal analysis of various samples using ICP-MS
- Assist in ICP-MS method development when needed
- Perform instrument maintenance on ICP-MS
- Successfully participating in heavy metals proficiency testing as required by the DCC and
ISO 17025
- Complete cross-training in other areas (LCMS, GCMS, HPLC, etc.)
- Mentorship will be provided from senior lab members for training
- Performing sample and standard preparation for test methods (potency, residual solvents, pesticides, etc.).
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (DCC, ISO 17025, etc.)
- Recording data accurately into laboratory notebooks
- Editing and reviewing SOP's when needed
- Participating in relevant QA activities
- Utilizing Confident Cannabis (LIMS software) to upload data (training will be provided)
- Assisting team members with various administrative tasks (data entry, schedule updates, etc.)
- Maintaining relevant laboratory inventory
Qualifications:
- BS degree in the Sciences, preferable in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, etc.
- Minimum of two years of hands-on experience with ICP-MS instrumentation
- Strong quantitative skills
- High level of computer skills and familiarity with data acquisition software
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
