Prepare calibration standards, quality control samples, and analytical batches. Perform instrument calibration, tuning, preventative maintenance, and routine troubleshooting. Accurately document testing activities in laboratory notebooks, instrument logs, worksheets, and laboratory systems. Maintain assigned laboratory instruments and equipment in a state of readiness. Follow established SOPs, analytical methods, quality requirements, and laboratory safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory workspace. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related scientific field. Relevant analytical laboratory experience may be considered in place of formal education. Minimum 2 years of analytical laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated testing environment. Demonstrated hands-on experience operating LC-MS/MS and/or GC-MS systems. Ability to recognize abnormal analytical results and troubleshoot potential instrument, calibration, preparation, or method-related issues. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain complete and accurate laboratory records. Ability to follow controlled procedures and work independently while meeting laboratory turnaround requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Shimadzu LC-MS/MS or GC-MS instrumentation. Experience with SCIEX mass spectrometry platforms and software. Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited or similarly regulated laboratory. Experience performing instrument maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
