Job Description

We are looking to fill a Scientist III- Potency Assay position working as

  • a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on long-term assignment
  • onsite at one of our clients located in Rahway, NJ. This position offers full benefits, sick time, 401K, paid holidays, and paid time off.
  • This position does not offer any sponsorship.
  • The Scientist III - Potency Assay role supports routine testing for release, for stability studies, in-process samples, and/or cell-line development samples, as part of the development of biologic based drugs
  • Responsibilities
  • + Supports routine testing for release, stability studies, in-process, and/or cell-line development + Monitors controlled temperature units + Completes sample submission and sample management + Maintains accurate documentation and records
  • Qualifications
  • + Bachelor's degree in related science with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics testing, or a Master's degree in a related science with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry or biologics testing
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • + Current cellular and/or molecular biology and immunoassay experience + Analysis of biologics including monoclonal antibodies and/or other therapeutic proteins in one or more of the following techniques: + Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), host cell proteins (HCP), protein-A (proA), and binding potency assay + Quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and basic molecular biology techniques (gel electrophoresis, etc.

)

+ High-throughput liquid handling system, e.g., Tecan, Bravo, etc.

+ Analytical software SoftMax Pro

+ Experience with BSL2 (Biosafety Level 2) cabinets

+ Sample submission and sample management
