Full-Time Job Description We are seeking an experienced Supervisor, Core Laboratory Technical Operations to provide leadership and operational oversight for a high-volume Core Laboratory. This position is responsible for managing daily laboratory operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving quality initiatives, optimizing workflow, and leading laboratory staff to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Immunodiagnostics, along with proven leadership experience in a clinical laboratory setting. This role requires an experienced laboratory leader who can effectively manage personnel, support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain regulatory readiness, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care. Job Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational leadership for Core Laboratory technical operations.
Supervise laboratory personnel by providing coaching, mentoring, scheduling, and performance management.
Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory testing across assigned disciplines.
Maintain technical competency and serve as a subject matter expert within areas of responsibility.
Collaborate with pathologists, laboratory leadership, and clinical teams to support patient care and organizational initiatives.
Lead quality improvement projects that enhance laboratory efficiency, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory standards, policies, and operational procedures.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, including CLIA, CAP, OSHA, FDA, Joint Commission, and other governing agencies.
Maintain continual inspection readiness through effective compliance monitoring and documentation.
Monitor staffing levels, workflow, productivity, and resource utilization to optimize laboratory performance.
Participate in budgeting, operational planning, and resource management initiatives.
Oversee competency assessments, orientation, continuing education, and staff development.
Foster collaboration across departments while promoting exceptional customer service.
Recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate laboratory personnel, including performance management and progressive discipline when necessary.
Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Ensure adherence to organizational policies, ethical standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or an equivalent field.
Certification One of the following certifications is required: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - ASCP
Medical Technologist (MT) - ASCP
Or other applicable nationally recognized laboratory certification appropriate to the area of responsibility (MB, CT, M, HTL, CG, CHT, etc.).
Experience
Minimum 3 years of technical laboratory services and operations experience.
Previous laboratory leadership, supervisory, lead technologist, or team lead experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing laboratory staff and daily operations.
Strong technical expertise in Core Laboratory testing disciplines.

Several years of laboratory leadership experience in a supervisory, lead technologist, team lead, or management role.
