Hours:
20 hours/week - Part Time Responsibilities Perform physical, chemical, or bioanalytical characterization of finished product or raw material test samples using various chemistry techniques and scientific methods. Operate instrumentation such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, pipettes, and other basic lab equipment. Prepare samples, including formulation weighing, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids. Maintain accurate notebook documentation of experimental procedures and data. Review reports and ensure compliance with quality systems. Follow detailed instructions on assignment objectives with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Spend significant time in the laboratory performing analyses and technical tasks. Understand how data affects business decisions and prepare reports detailing findings and recommended solutions. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field. Relevant experience in an academic or industrial laboratory setting, emphasizing notebook documentation. Ability to analyze and document various data types. Proficiency in operating basic lab equipment including pH meters, pipettes, spectrophotometers, etc. Strong math skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience following lab procedures and safety behaviors. Ability to formulate and prepare solutions by weighing, combining, transferring, and mixing powders and liquids.
