Lab Associate (Chemistry Focus)

Chemistry / Laboratory / Quality / Manufacturing / Scientific Services Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Associate (Chemistry Focus) to support laboratory testing, chemical sample preparation, and quality assurance activities. This role involves performing routine chemical and analytical testing, documenting results, and supporting compliance with laboratory and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemistry or a related scientific field and enjoy hands-on laboratory work in a structured, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine chemical laboratory tests, sample preparation, and basic chemical analysis following SOPs Conduct measurements, titrations, and other fundamental chemistry-based testing procedures Accurately record, document, and report chemical test results in LIMS, spreadsheets, or lab notebooks Assist in quality control (QC) and/or quality assurance (QA) testing activities Prepare chemical reagents, solutions, and standards for laboratory testing Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments used for chemical analysis Follow GMP, GLP, and safety protocols for handling chemicals and lab materials Identify deviations in test results or chemical processes and escalate as needed Support senior chemists, scientists, and lab technicians in ongoing projects Ensure proper labeling, storage, and disposal of chemical substances and samples Maintain cleanliness and compliance in all chemistry lab work areas Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or related field preferred 0-3 years of laboratory or chemistry lab experience (internships/co-ops acceptable) Basic understanding of chemical principles, laboratory techniques, and safety practices Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry Ability to follow SOPs and perform repetitive testing with consistency Basic computer skills (Excel, LIMS, or similar systems a plus) Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred Experience Experience in a chemistry lab, analytical lab, or QC environment Exposure to titrations, wet chemistry, or instrumental analysis GMP/GLP regulated environment experience Familiarity with ISO quality standards Work Environment Laboratory environment with regular exposure to chemicals and analytical testing equipment Must follow strict safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times Standing, pipetting, and handling chemical samples for extended periods Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs #IND2
