Work Authorization:
US Work Authorization required. Inorganic Ventures does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. The QC Chemist has the authority to perform all tasks and duties as assigned herein. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Uses the established quality control procedures to perform analytical testing on products as directed by the Stock Production Supervisor. Utilizes computer techniques for analysis, simulation of information systems, data entry, statistical analysis and the record keeping procedures of electronic lab notebooks and QC records. Proficient in QC procedures for all stock products to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities and products. ? Proficient in the use and daily maintenance of the ICPs, ICs', UV Spectrometer, pH meter, Turbidimeter, conductivity meter, balances and glassware. Responsible for sample preparation, wet assay methods and reagent preparation for testing of products. Proper disposal of waste according to all Federal, State, and Local laws. Continuous use of safe laboratory equipment and practices. ? Other duties as assigned Requirements Required - Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or a combination of education and/or experience to meet the requirements for the position Minimum of two years previous job-related work experience Working knowledge of the periodic table, laboratory equipment usage and of lab safety practices Proficient in basic algebra Keen attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills The ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision The ability to follow established policies, procedures and guidelines PC proficiency with a working knowledge of computers and good data entry skills Preferred - Masters degree in Chemistry Prior quality control and/or job-related experience- Administer a color blindness test if position will be responsible for titrations.
