Scottsdale, AZ Pay:
$20-$22/hour, based on experience and qualificationsSchedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday Job Description Under the general supervision of the Site Director and in collaboration with Clinical Research Coordinators and physicians, the Clinical Research Assistant will support the day-to-day conduct of clinical research studies. This position is ideal for a medical assistant, phlebotomist, or other clinical professional who enjoys working directly with patients and is interested in developing a career in clinical research. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on clinical skills, particularly blood collection, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and patient care are equally important. Duties and Responsibilities Assist Clinical Research Coordinators and physicians with clinical trial visits and study-related activities Support patient visits including scheduling and tracking, patient flow, data acquisition, and data entry Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and assist with other protocol-required assessments Perform venipuncture and process blood and urine samples according to study protocols and applicable safety requirements Assist with IV placement and IV-related study procedures as trained and delegated Assist with study visits according to protocol requirements, including source documentation and case report form completion Maintain accurate and complete clinical trial documentation in accordance with company SOPs, study protocols, and Good Clinical Practice Assist with routine data verification and quality control to ensure data integrity and consistency Prepare, process, and ship laboratory samples according to study-specific requirements and applicableIATA/OSHA
standards Maintain and organize medical and study supplies and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished Assist with patient recruitment activities, including chart review and identification of potential study participants Support Clinical Research Coordinators with study-related administrative and operational activities Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable research regulations Perform other duties as assigned Experience Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Scribe, Patient Care Technician, or in a similar clinical role Strong phlebotomy experience required Experience with IV placement strongly preferred Clinical research experience is preferred but not required Experience working directly with patients in a medical or clinical setting preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation Professional, reliable, and patient-focused Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and study-specific procedures Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek guidance Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical research team Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook General understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality Willingness to learn clinical research regulations, protocols, and study-specific procedures What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, hands-on, and eager to learn.
