CoxHealth Job Description:
•This position will work at Cox South Hospital, located in Springfield, Missouri•The Trauma Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, developing, and supporting clinical research activities within the Trauma Services Department. This position collaborates with trauma surgeons, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, trauma registry personnel, quality improvement staff, and external agencies to facilitate trauma-related research projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote evidence-based trauma care. The coordinator supports state designation requirements, trauma center verification standards, and institutional research initiatives.
Education:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in clinical field such as biology or closely related field

Nursing Experience:
Preferred:
previous experience in clinical research, trauma services, quality improvement, or healthcare data management experience
Skills:
Understanding of IRB processes and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Proficiency with database management, Microsoft Office Suite, and statistical software. Knowledge of trauma systems, trauma center standards, and clinical research methodology.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Required:
Either a graduate certificate(s) in Clinical Research, Public Health, Epidemiology, Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or related disciplines. Professional certification in clinical research or project management.
