We foster programs in the areas of basic, translational, mechanistic and population research. Position Summary This position will serve as a Clinical Research Coordinator within the Department of Psychiatry's Institute for Trauma Recovery (https://www.med.unc.edu/itr/). The Institute for Trauma Recovery has two overarching goals. The first goal is to increase understanding of how adverse posttraumatic neuropsychiatric sequelae (e.g., posttraumatic stress disorder, pain, depression, and other somatic symptoms) develop after traumatic stress exposure (e.g., motor vehicle collision, military deployment, sexual assault). The second goal is to use this knowledge to develop and test interventions that prevent these outcomes. Our primary strategy to achieve these goals is to recruit and retain outstanding, talented, self-motivated staff, post-doctoral fellows, and faculty who are passionate about improving the lives of individuals who have experienced trauma. The Institute for Trauma Recovery invites applications for a Clinical Research Coordinator to help advance this mission. The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, and conduct of multiple clinical research study protocols, including independently collecting and recording data, project administration, and communication with various stakeholders. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Management Preferences Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. This includes the ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Strong experience with REDCap and External Data Capturing systems like Viedoc. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word in order to create memos, letters, reports, charts, and email materials.
