A Clinical Investigator works on a clinical trial, and is responsible for ensuring that an investigation is conducted according to the signed investigator statement, the investigational plan, and applicable regulations; for protecting the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects under the investigator's care; and for the control of drugs under investigation. The Clinical Investigator must also meet requirements set forth by the FDA, EMA or other regulatory body. The qualifications must be outlined in a current resume and readily available for auditors.

Job Description

The MetroHealth System, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine, has an opening beginning July 2024 for a full time board-certified/eligible Infectious Disease Specialist with a commitment to clinical care and academics. Responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient clinical care, with a strong focus on HIV. The position will include some administrative support for oversight of the clinic's Ryan White funding. Faculty appointment is through Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Opportunities for clinical research are available and participation is encouraged. Your academic appointment at CWRU school of Medicine and salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials. MetroHealth is an integrated health system with an acute care hospital housing a Level I Adult Trauma and Burn Center and more than 25 inpatient and outpatient facilities throughout Northeast Ohio.
