A Clinical Investigator works on a clinical trial, and is responsible for ensuring that an investigation is conducted according to the signed investigator statement, the investigational plan, and applicable regulations; for protecting the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects under the investigator's care; and for the control of drugs under investigation. The Clinical Investigator must also meet requirements set forth by the FDA, EMA or other regulatory body. The qualifications must be outlined in a current resume and readily available for auditors.

Job Description

You are applying for a position through Medix, a staffing agency. The actual posting represents a position at one of our clients. Job Summary Our client is seeking a Principal Investigator to provide clinical protocol oversight and patient management within a dynamic trial setting. This role involves ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, monitoring patient safety, and collaborating with on-site staff and senior clinical leadership to ensure smooth study operations. Key Responsibilities Ensure all trial-related procedures and documentation adhere to approved clinical protocols. Review patient charts and medical histories for eligibility determination for trial enrollment. Monitor patient safety and evaluate adverse events. Manage eClinical systems for timely review and sign-offs. Work closely with on-site staff and coordinate with clinical leadership to maintain trial continuity. Conduct periodic on-site visits and engage with study sponsors and monitors as required. Qualifications Active board certification/licensure in Gastroenterology (GI), Endocrinology, Rheumatology, or Internal Medicine. Capability to act as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator (Sub-I). Proficiency in remote eClinical platforms, such as Creo. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based structure. Flexibility with a low-hour/part-time commitment (5-15 hours/week).
