Job Description

Full-Time | Monday-Friday Hometown Urgent Care - Springfield South Hometown Urgent Care is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant with clinical research experience to join our team at our Springfield South location . This is a great opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys direct patient care but also has experience working with clinical research studies. In this role, you will work alongside our clinical research team to support study participants, assist with study visits, perform clinical procedures, and help ensure research activities are completed accurately and according to study protocols. What You'll Do Assist with clinical research study visits and participant appointments Obtain and document vital signs Perform EKGs Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens Prepare, process, and assist with shipment of study-related specimens Assist providers and research staff with physical examinations and study procedures Support patient recruitment and screening activities Review study requirements and help ensure procedures are completed according to study protocols Maintain accurate and complete study documentation Assist with source documentation and electronic data entry Communicate with patients regarding appointments, study visits, and follow-up needs Maintain study supplies and equipment Work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, providers, and other members of the research team Follow Good Clinical Practice (GCP), patient privacy, safety, and research requirements Assist with other clinical research and patient-care responsibilities as needed
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous Medical Assistant experience Previous clinical research experience Experience with blood draws/venipuncture Experience obtaining vital signs and performing EKGs Strong attention to detail and documentation skills Comfortable working directly with patients and research participants Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment Dependable, professional, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Experience with clinical research protocols, source documentation, electronic data capture (EDC), CTMS systems, GCP, or research study visits is strongly valued. Schedule Full-Time - Monday through Friday This position is based primarily at our Springfield South Hometown Urgent Care location . Why Hometown?
