Job Description

Environmental Scientist / GeologistJob Description Sovereign Consulting Inc. is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Hydrologist with 3-5 years of experience for our Oxford, CT location. Sovereign Consulting Inc. is an environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ.
Responsibilities:
Provide field and office support of site investigations involving oversight of environmental drilling, well installation and soil sampling.

Support environmental remediation design tasks, including soil and groundwater remediation design.

Assist with technical report preparation documents including data input and interpretation.

Have an understanding of the CT Remediation Standard Regulations (RSRs), UST Regulations, Significant Environmental Hazard Program, CT Transfer Act, and other similar programs/requirements.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Handle other related duties assigned; andAdherence to Sovereign Consulting Inc. health and safety procedures in all field related activities.
Requirements:
3-5 years of related experience is requiredA bachelors degree in environmental science or geologyOSHA 40-Hour
HAZWOPER
certificationOSHA 30-hr Construction or General Industry certification, a plusDemonstrated technical writing skillsProficiency with Microsoft office, Adobe, and CAD a plusMust have excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills.

Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a company vehicle Employment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidates ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties. A background check will also be required. Candidates must present documentation that confirms identity and eligibility for employment in the United States. Salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
