The Role:

We're looking for a Data Analyst to support our Cap-and-Invest consulting practice and broader market intelligence work. This is a client-facing, detail-heavy role at the intersection of regulatory analysis, data work, and account management.

In this role, you'll work closely with our President on Cap-and-Invest strategy, client deliverables, and day-to-day priorities.

What you'll be doing Conducting market analysis across emissions and carbon markets Updating client presentations and emission projections Reading and interpreting complex regulatory releases and rule updates Drafting and sending weekly market update mailers via Mailchimp, covering pricing trends and regulatory changes Submitting monthly public records requests to various air districts, analyzing trends, and summarizing data Producing market snapshots across emissions programs Managing annual client renewals Participating in and preparing for client meetings Requirements Bachelor's degree required Highly preferred: experience in emissions markets, specifically Cap-and-Invest programs Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint Comfortable working in Mailchimp and Notion Strong analytical mindset Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, reprioritize when something urgent arises, and still meet other deadlines Compensation & Structure $80,000-$100,000/year (equivalent to $38-$48/hr based on experience), for 40 hrs/week Key hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30 PM Paid weekly 1099 contractor position (no benefits) Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in our Huntington Beach office, 2 days remote We provide the tools you need to do the job: laptop, Microsoft 365, and other required subscriptions If you have any questions regarding this role, please feel free to contact me.
