Full Job Description Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist, Position Location:
Cincinnati, OH or Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid Work Schedule) Summary My client is a growing engineering and environmental consulting firm seeking a full-time Environmental Planner / Siting Specialist to support utility and infrastructure siting projects throughout Ohio, southern Indiana, and northern Kentucky. This hybrid position offers the flexibility of partial remote work while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across multiple regional offices. The ideal candidate will live within a two-hour commute of the southern Ohio/Indiana region to attend client meetings, public outreach events, and site visits . In this role, you'll work alongside engineers, environmental scientists, planners, and GIS professionals to evaluate project routes, support environmental permitting, prepare planning documentation, analyze spatial data, and help move infrastructure projects from planning through approval . Candidates with a range of experience levels are encouraged to apply, with compensation based on qualifications and experience. Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist Key Responsibilities Completing route/site selection studies, feasibility studies, and location analyses . Preparing public outreach graphics, presentation maps, and informational materials. Generating spatial data and maps to support field work and technical reports. Assisting with permitting agency submittals and regulatory compliance. Performing and assisting with other related planning tasks as directed. Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geography, Planning, Ecology, Biology, or a closely related field. 2+ years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated background in site or route selection. Working familiarity with the Ohio Power Siting Board or equivalent state utility commission application processes and submittals is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS Pro. Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation .

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
