1st Shift Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join a fast-paced laboratory team in Garland, TX. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on experience in an industrial laboratory environment. The Lab Technician will support laboratory testing, evaluate and document test results, maintain accurate data, and assist project teams with day-to-day laboratory activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a chemistry, laboratory, quality, or technical background who is looking to build a long-term career in an industrial lab setting. Key Responsibilities Perform routine laboratory testing and evaluations according to established procedures. Evaluate test panels and accurately document testing results. Collect, review, and validate laboratory data for accuracy and completeness. Enter testing information and results into web-based systems and internal databases. Create, update, and maintain Excel reports and tracking spreadsheets. Assist with sample preparation and other laboratory activities as needed. Maintain organized and accurate laboratory records and documentation. Follow established laboratory procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards. Support project teams with testing, data collection, and documentation. Manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Communicate testing information and results clearly with team members. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory workspace. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework or a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field is preferred. Previous laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, or industrial experience is preferred but not required. Comfortable working with laboratory equipment and following written testing procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365. Comfortable with computer-based and web-based data entry. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
