Seattle | Senior Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Scientist LVI Associates - 4.4 Seattle, WA Job Details Full-time $160,000 - $250,000 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Qualifications Customer communication Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description A growing employee-focused environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior to Principal Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist with a strong background in environmental remediation, contaminated site investigation, and cleanup implementation. The ideal candidate will have extensive consulting experience supporting both public- and private-sector clients and will be comfortable balancing technical leadership, project management, field oversight, and client engagement. This position includes a blend of office and field responsibilities, including construction oversight, environmental sampling, regulatory coordination, and client interaction. This role requires an individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment while also being capable of working independently with limited oversight. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. Projects typically involve complex contaminated sites with soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and vapor-related environmental concerns. Candidates will have the opportunity to contribute throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, investigation, feasibility evaluations, remedial design, and implementation. This is a full-time position with a flexible work environment focused on meeting client needs and project deadlines. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review technical reports and environmental documents, including Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial action plans, design documents, compliance monitoring plans, and closure documentation. Develop or support engineering calculations, cost estimates, design reports, technical specifications, and construction packages. Manage projects and tasks, including scheduling, budgeting, client communication, subcontractor oversight, and team coordination. Plan, coordinate, and oversee field investigations and environmental monitoring programs involving soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, stormwater, vapor, and other media. Direct field teams, laboratories, and subcontractors while ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Support business development efforts through proposal preparation, client relationship management, strategic planning, and collaboration with teaming partners. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff. Preferred Qualifications BS or MS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional registration such as PE, PG, LG, or equivalent preferred. 12+ years of experience in environmental consulting, remediation, construction oversight, and/or contaminated site investigation. Strong understanding of state and federal environmental regulations and remediation frameworks. Experience managing complex environmental projects from site characterization through remedial design and implementation. Familiarity with investigation and remediation strategies involving soil, groundwater, sediment, stormwater, surface water, and vapor intrusion. Experience with permitting, agency coordination, stakeholder engagement, source control, redevelopment considerations, and environmental compliance. Strong technical writing, project management, and client communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel periodically for project meetings, field activities, and construction oversight.
