We are seeking a motivated Environmental Technician with at least 2 years of environmental experience to join our growing Remediation Team in Irvine, California. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to expand their experience while working alongside experienced environmental professionals on challenging and rewarding projects. Job Responsibilities Monitor remediation systems and record system readings and operating data to help maintain efficient operations, meet regulatory requirements, and achieve project goals. Collect groundwater and soil samples following established procedures and applicable quality-control practices. Perform monitoring well measurements, including gauging groundwater levels and recording relevant field conditions and observations. Operate and routinely inspect treatment and remediation equipment and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. Identify and troubleshoot equipment and system problems and complete basic repairs involving equipment, instrumentation, plumbing, and related infrastructure. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and service providers when larger repairs, specialized maintenance, or equipment replacements are required. Compile field and system operating data and support performance evaluation and project reporting. Complete field documentation, including daily field reports, maintenance records, sampling forms, and other required project documentation. Follow all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements while performing field and system-related work. Participate in corrective actions and process-improvement efforts aimed at improving the reliability and effectiveness of remediation systems. Who We Want Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining water treatment systems and/or Soil Vapor Extraction Systems. At least 2 years of experience performing water sample collection. Comparable experience in environmental monitoring, remediation, compliance, or related areas may also be considered. Comfortable using standard hand and power tools, with the ability to recognize and troubleshoot basic plumbing and electrical issues. Well organized, dependable, and attentive to detail. Capable of working independently with general direction while also contributing effectively within a team and following guidance from Senior Staff. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams. Strong written, verbal, and technical communication abilities. Valid state-issued driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to report to the office each morning to pack equipment into a company vehicle, and return equipment and the vehicle to the office at the end of the day. Ability to travel between multiple job sites during the workday as assigned, potentially including sites located across Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, and Orange counties. Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline. Current 40-hour
HAZWOPER
certification and 8-hour refresher training. Previous experience with waste containerization, waste tracking, and disposal-related documentation. Familiarity with field requirements under regulatory oversight (e.g., SCAQMD, DTSC, RWQCB), such as permit conditions, monitoring schedules, or reporting deadlines. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during field activities. Comfortable working outdoors and performing field work under varying weather conditions, including hot and cold environments. Ability to complete an employment physical on an annual or bi-annual basis, when required. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour
