An Environmental Technician assists with testing and sampling or monitoring needed for environmental clean-up efforts or projects to mitigate environmental pollution. Assists environmental engineers or environmental scientists. Collects air, water or soil samples, operates field test equipment and conducts laboratory research. Coordinates work at sites with contaminated soil or water, or hazardous waste clean-up sites.

Responsibilities Responsibilities Performs a combination of field and office work supporting environmental staff Assists with environmental compliance activities (e.g., NPDES/spec compliance)
Conducts:
Environmental site assessments Soil, groundwater, and media sampling Hydrogeologic studies Assists with: Remediation system design, installation, and O&M Underground storage tank (UST) assessments Industrial hygiene evaluations Supports laboratory coordination and testing Attends project meetings and assists with issue resolution Assists with proposal preparation and documentation Want to experience what this job entails?

Qualifications Required Qualifications 0 years of related experience Must be pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or other degree related to our services If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized work ethic Ability to work independently and within a team environment Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision Working knowledge of geotechnical field investigation and testing methods Basic ability to interpret field data and observations Developing problem-solving and analytical skills Willingness to work in both field and office environments Military Qualifications The following US Military ranks would qualify for this position: E-4 About Us ECS Group of Companies (ECS) was founded in 1988 with the goal to raise the standards of professional engineering consulting.
